The philosophy
In order to build a better, stronger and wiser version of ourselves, we need to first analyze what makes us bitter and weak. Having 10 years of personal development experience I have built an inside out approach to fitness. Building off my 3 step approach of analyzing our self-awareness, our kinesthetic awareness and our environmental awareness will increase our chances tenfold into building a better you. As you can see no lifting is required, however, work is. And analyzing and accessing our awareness is similar to working out in the gym, but instead of targeting the fat on our waistline, we are attacking the fat off mental. Note: I’m not in the weight loss business, I’m in the fat loss, targeting mind and body.
1. Analyze Self Image
Your self-image is how you perceive yourself to be. Is it hard to look in the mirror and smile? Is it hard to be your own best friend? Do you sabotage yourself? Do you feel that you have no control in your life? Those are signs of an unhealthy self image. And my job is to build a healthy self-image, one that you can be proud of, one that your friends and family can rely on. It starts with self-awareness. Your current life is a sum of your choices, and your choices are a sum of your beliefs, and your beliefs are a sum of your thoughts. What have you become thus far? Goal: build an indestructible self-image, to progress through life. Remember, progress is happiness.
2. Analyze Posture
How you sit, stand, and walk (even breathe) is well above 90% of the reason why you look the way you do. The lagging body parts you hate (triceps, back and no butt), the aching back and tension around your neck, and that frozen shoulder is all due to posture and bad habits. When we become more aware of the little things that our body is telling us, then we can tackle the bigger issues in the gym. Goal: to move pain free inside and outside the gym.
3.Analyze environmental issues
Motivation is overrated, environment matters more. Who are you around? Are they a reflection of who you want to be? What are you watching, reading and saying yes to? Are these aiding to a better you or a bitter you? Everything we do is for our future self. Every choice we make is a vote of who we shall become. We are either getting closer to who we want to be or we are delaying it. Remember: time is our ally if we are moving forward so be patient, but time is our enemy if we are moving backwards, so be mindful. Goal: redesign our environment. It is easier to build new habits in a new environment, than to build new habits in the same environment. If nothing changes, nothing changes.
